Here are a couple shots of a small W2 integral I commissioned. (please pardon my poor photography)
This knife has exceptional fine edge stability and is the knife that, for me, answered once and for all "is Tai just an eccentric kook or does he really know what he is talking about". He knows his stuff.
And this is my butcher knife. A nice simple Gooey kitchen knife that is comfortable and functional (and yes, I've actually butchered an animal with it)
I agree with the statement that good craftsmanship shouldn't be confused with artistry. Tai has both at a level that is uncommon in any field. I'm glad he chose knifemaking rather than pottery (or whatever) because he truly is a one of a kind maker and an asset to us. He is the Ying to our Yang over in Shop Talk. I do wish that Mr. Ying and Mr. Yang got along better, but I'm just glad we get a little bit of both around here.
