What is the purpose of a take down knife? Why no sheath?
Other than that I really like this knife. I like the traditional style.

I'm glad you like the tanto. The traditional Japanese tantos were made to be taken apart. This allowed for cleaning of the blade. Also, the tang was the area where you would find the maker marks.

I can make a sheath or Saya (scabbard) if requested.
