Talk me into a 53 pattern

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back. My wife just gave birth to our baby boy 3 weeks ago. It's our first, so things have been a bit crazy lately!

In regards to PayPal, I'm convinced that the hold was placed because of the word Cuban. I deduced this from some Web searches. The dealer I bought from was very obliging and held the knife for me. In fact, I asked him to send an invoice minus the word Cuban and the transaction went through instantly. He then reimbursed me for the held transaction which took a little over 48 hours to clear. Needless to say, I'm not exactly thrilled with PayPal, but it is convenient. I guess that's a price we pay to use it.

Now, on to the 53 Cuban! I chose the TK because I wanted a slim knife that felt good in hand and this one does not disappoint. I believe I found the last copperhead jig bone model from the dealers. The jigging on this one is a little sharp here and there but I presume that would wear off with pocket wear. The pull is a nice 5-6.... much lighter than the 54's bear trap springs.

With a 15. Almost as slender.

Congrats on your baby boy, and thanks for the knife shots! I'm trying to decide on a 5th anniversary present to me from my wife... debating between the TK Cuban and the 38 whittler... I'd made up my mind on the 38 until I saw your pic, now I'm lost again.

draggat-I like your decision. We think alike. Here is what yours will look like with time and use:

Do you know how many were made in this cover?

Heath- Thanks!! That 38 is no slouch, but I have to say I prefer this 53. It's still the honeymoon phase though.

Rockon- I actually borrowed your photo some time back

No problem there (use any or all of them). I find it amusing that someone used one of my pics. I'm horrible in the Art of "photography". I have

Anyone have one of the canvas micarta 53's from 2012? I picked one up off the exchange and couldn't find much info on it. According to GEC totals there were only 5 made.

Held the 53 and 54 at the Blade 2015 show. Both are awesome

All I can add is that I want on my self!

Furtaker, or a cattle barron are the blade configurations I want most in this pattern. (Or stockman if I can't have a cattle barron...)
