Talk me out of a Spyderco Police...

this is the first "modern" knife i think i ever saw, sometime in the 80's (thin, one hand opening , pocket clip ) - and at the time i thought it was a wicked looking knife , but i always thought it was ugly and too thin compared to my buck 110 and 112 - and to this day i do not like serrations - that being said, i still think most spydercos are ugly knives , but i now own a delica and a byrd (both straight edge) and although i still think they are ugly , i find they are very good and useful designs , i don't like linerlocks so a one handed opener with a lockback is great for me , i also think spydercos cost too much , but i got my delica new for $35 , but would have never paid $50 or more for it- and i still would not - also with the stainless handles there are not a bunch of screws to come loose.

I find it very dangerous to use absolutes when talking about the Police Model. You never know when they are going to throw out a run of "sterile" blades, or a batch with lanyard holes without bothering to tell anyone.

Ugh! I could never understand why people like those horrid things so much. If you're going to buy a Police buy the G10 model. Not that ugly stainless steel one. :barf:

Sorry, you've come to the wrong place to get talked out of buying any Spyderco model!

That's the appeal for me, the unbelievably thin stainless handle. Works where other folders simply won't. Had mine sitting on the desk beside my PM2 and noticed that clip-and-all my Police is thinner than the PM2 without including the clip.

man, I've been watching a bunch of episodes of Life these past few days and it's not helping....

Also, seeing other great deals now that I'm in buying mode for the first time in years. ~$70 for a zdp endura? I had no idea.
