i started out making something for me, a pair of chinks, that I couldn't find premade, course that was long before the internet and just googling something. Stopped at a Tandy store I drove by often and asked the guy what tool did this (creaser, $5). Later I stopped by and said how do ya basket stamp? Later I stopped by and said gotta sew all this together and got a $15 handsewing kit and he showed me how to use it. Then I stopped by to see what leather was on sale and got er done. This was 1984. Then some other guys started asking me to make them a pair. Then another guy had just bought a Winchester Trapper and coudn't find a shorter rifle scabbard and then...... and then...........
And then we're selling some small knives with sheaths I made at horsemanship/cattleworking clinics I use to put on. Getting the knives wholesale from a knife maker. Due to health issues his QC started slipping. I was spending several hours cleaning up each knife before I would ship it out with a sheath with my name on it. No money there. Nichole says Why don't you make the knives your self? Well cause I don't know anything about making knives and then......... and then.......
If ya want to do it, do it, ya can.
Nice work!

Buying some basic tools is not a bad idea. Once you build one, you may end up building more.
Nice work!
