Tanto with silver fittings

hey guys!
if any of you were interested in buying this knife, it is up for sale in the maker's "for sale" area. The guy never contacted me and Gracie is going to school=lots of $$$ otherwise i would hang onto this one.
thanks for your interest!

that is a smoking good deal. Seems a little on the low $ side to me.
Whoever led you along on this commission was a putz, but in the end it led to a great knife.
I sure hope you stick with this knife making thing.

Unfortunately my bank is not as interested as my heart.
I'll keep dreaming.

it may seem low on $$ side, but it still isnt moving. is that because of the market or knife?
thanks for the insight

So, you work for NASA or something, right? You just got married, too?
Sounds to me like you are on your way to a long term, decent paying career- a perfect backdrop for a long term success in knifemaking...add to that your obvious skills in design and workmanship, and your apparent love for doing it.

That's one of the reasons I jumped on the chance to get one of your beauties, but more importantly I really liked what I saw, and at a price I could afford, (thank you:)). If you stick with it all, and avoid burning out, then you'll have a great future making knives!

Maybe you should find a dealer, who's willing to work with you and help you over the long haul, take what you have, as you make it, and then sell it on your behalf.

As for the pricing of this knife, I'm really no expert. Perhaps someone with more knowledge, (like Les Robertson?) would like to comment on it.

yep,
I work as a machinist for NASA, and got married on July 18th. I will hopefully convert to a permanent employee some time in October, when i finish my Co-op program. I am learning alot here at NASA that is helping me make better knives, and some of he time, my experience making knives helps me do a better job here (especially when it comes to sanding)

The plan is to stick it out here, and make knives on the side. that will be alot easier when i dont have to drive to my parents house to use my equipment (no room at the apartment) i actually have some stuff in the works right now, but i dont know how much i am going to make off of it as it isnt custom, but just stuff i designed. got two pocket knives, a damascus drop point, a gladius, two waks and katana. but i dont know if i could sell any of them.

i appreciate your help for sure, and hope you enjoy the knife. it isn't my normal thing, and is rougher than my usual stuff because it was meant to be worked, but i am sure you will put it through its paces.

so how would i hook up with a dealer who would be interested? that sounds like a good idea, but i am not sure how to go about doing that.

well, no matter what the knife is really "worth" i am going to drop the price again pretty soon. we have had a run of really crummy luck and i need some cash.

i really do appreciate your help
thanks
~Chris
