I know this is brining up and old thread, but some things cannot be left to die or fade away...ESP.since I am a Tarzan fan. Good article written up about the Tarzan knife in an issue of blade magazine, the author thought a slim Bowie knife from a Sheffield maker would more than likely have been his knife. I believe he said fromWestenholm and sons. I got to thinking that since Britain was still a colonial power, that it would not be unthinkable that the knife could have come from one of his father's duty stations. I thought maybe from India or the Middle East, and that the knife could be a slim version of a Arabic jambiya. Or it could be like the knife carried by Mowgli in disney's live version of The Jungle Book. Just food for thought. Lastly, the author of the article raises the challenge to makers to come up with their version of a Tarzan knife.
