My tax refund should be in in a couple days. I hit the jackpot this year, and i'm getting back about a grand. I'm looking for something more gentlemanly than tacticool and i'm thinking about a CRK Mnandi. What are some other handsome high end gentleman's folders i should be looking at?

Get the Mnandi... I have a beautiful box elder in the mail to me. That is a seriously nice looking folder.

William Henry Knives would be another gentlemen type folders. I know Plaza Cutlery carries a few. Otherwise, go slipjoint.

Yes! Buy any knife!!!! There is no bad choice. Adding to your collection is always good. Most important, get something you love and will use. Other than that, opinions are great, but just get what you want, regardless of what the others say. Don't let everyone make up your mind and then wish you would have bought something else, especially with the $ you are planning to pay.

Have fun!!!!!!

BTW, check the BF kinfemaker's custom made knives. There are some amazing knives there , and A: you'll have a one of a kind, and B: you'll support the cool folks on BF!

Last year I got myself a Mnandi with Ironwood. The year before I got a William Henry Gen Tac with Ironwood. The year before that I got a Kershaw JYD II SG2 and had my Kershaw Blue Bump Kreined. This year I'm getting a Buck knife with rosewood.

I got lot's back, but the bills are bigger.:(

i would go for the small sebenza, the mnadi is nice but i prefer thumbstuds, and the mnadi is tiny, the small sebenza is just right in the size department IMO

Some great recommendations so far, and it sounds like you were favoring the Mnadi, so that may well be the way to go.

But you might want to consider the Fallkniven TK3 series for a gentleman's folder.

Available in a variety of handle choices, a couple of which are below.

I would also choose a knife of the Fällkniven TK3 series, with a wooden handle. Great knives and good looking.
