Tax refund knife, looking for a nice gentleman's folder

Ah, but you've probably not yet fondled a Klotzli! This small Swiss brand is in my opinion the equal of Chris Reeve when it comes to precision and general refinement. They are gentlemeny (yet pretty sturdy) in style hence they are more in competition with the Mnandi than the Sebenza. Many Klotzlis look awesome:

I would also have a closer look at the Fontenille Pataud Gentlemen laguiole. Now the handles of this model is rather round so they are more visible to carry:

I like that one on the upper left.Where can I find these?I have a hard time finding Klotzli's.

I've always liked the looks of some of Deviant11's friction folders, particularly the Chinese ones. Pictures taken by the man himself.

If you prefer to have a lock, he also makes some with framelocks.

freedom - I think you'll be very happy with your Kiwi. I have one with MOP. It is quite the little folder although with my bug mitts it doesn't get carried as ofthen as it should. I can't use the spyderhole to open it as it's just too small for me.

I think no one suggested the Kiwi because it sounded like you might spend the whole refund on your knife. I was going to suggest Davisdon or Hampton or Bose or Erickson and some of the other custom makers chosen.

But like I said - you've made an excellent selection.

Pics when you get it?

I was planning on spending quite a bit on one nice knife but that little feeling that i was spending too much on one item just got to me. I've spent about half of my refund already on a black Alox Vic Pioneer, Black oxide Leatherman Fuse, Spyderco Smallfly and Smallfly trainer, the Kiwi and a few books on knot tying from amazon. I think i'll be happier with more than one as opposed to one expensive.

I will absolutely post pics when it arrives, i should have the kiwi tomorrow.

I own both of these.
1st choice: Buck Mayo TNT
2nd choice: Spyderco Sage II

Both of these are wonderful knives.
