I'm not totally sure but I think a Washington bolster looks like this, the Schatt English Jack on the bottom. A variant of the Rat-tail but with extra rings and dimple. I could be all over the shop with this one though:confused: :D:D

Will, I believe you are correct on the Washington bolsters. My beloved modified S&M EJ also has them . . . and I like 'em!

Awe saw them. Sorry I was very busy the last several days. Congrats to all the winners and use them in good health! Thanks for putting on such a great GAW ALL! It was just great being involved in this thread. Great bunch of peeps out here! Well hopefully one day I'll get my TC Barlow but until then I'll just have to enjoy them from afar. wasn't sure if i was going to care for the one handed opening bit, but its pretty cool, and it works! It was just outside the realm of normal for me...

I am surprised, the TC barlow seems smaller than i always envisioned, that is not a criticism, just an observation. I am trying to think of the correct adjective, i think i am going to use trim. Its a sweet little package. I just got home, but i want to get my 85 out and truly compare the two, i think the 85 is beefier...

definitely feels solid, very smooth and i truly think the handles are prettier in person than in the pics.

Also included was a really cool buffalo head nickel and a very nice letter. This was just an amazing experience

Thank you once again Steven, she is truly a beauty!
 
@ Ryan ok, I have big hands but man Rob that TC Barlow looks like a peanut!!!

Just a beautiful Barlow but man it sure looks small in your paws:D

Fred (willydigger) - I've been insanely busy for the past several days, to the point that I haven't even had a chance to surf this site which is one of my favorite past times. I did manage to post a photo at lunch today in the 'Totin thread but didn't think that I'd get a chance to get on-line this evening. But when I got home from work and found the package you sent, I just had to snap a photo and post my most sincere thanks for one of the most beautiful and unique gifts I've ever received. Thank you Fred; you're truly a talented and creative artist, and I love the gift. :D :thumbup:
