Tc barlows & mind blowing sheath give-away**WINNERS ANNOUNCED**

Chris Montgomery---WOW!!! you are too kind:thumbup:

I wanted to post this here for obvious reasons. I just opened a "Thank You" letter from Chris---he won the Sheepfoot/Pen blade African Blackwood TC Barlow I contributed in Duncna's EPIC;) GAW.

I love currency/coins as much as knives themselves:thumbup:

Now Chris, I need an answer here, pm or email is just fine my friend;)---did you just pick the year 1962 for the coins by coincidence or did you know it was my birth year:o

Maybe this sounds silly to some but Chris---Thank you for the Thank you:D Chris mentioned in his fantastic letter how he will cherish and carry the TC Barlow for years to come---warms my heart.

I hope the pictures show it but Chris included a coin for me and a coin in honor of Charlie---how neat is that?

That^^^^^^^^^^^^ is seriously Cool Paul, well done mate-you truly deserve it, and it was all of OUR give-away my friend!
Hey Chris...... nicely done mate

Paul, it's not a coincidence. I did happen to pick those two based on the year of your birth. I did find that bit of information from your profile here on BF.

I wanted to keep the tradition of the coin in return, but I also wanted it to have a little more of a personal connection. I also included the Canadian coin in honor of Charlie. Without Charlie's work and diligence in preserving the classics this amazing Barlow wouldn't be in my pocket now.

Thanks again Duncan, Paul and all you gents that put on this epic event.

Chris

It's a lot of fun to scroll up through now that the winners are posting their loot. Congratulations, folks!

@ Ryan ok, I have big hands but man Rob that TC Barlow looks like a peanut!!!

Just a beautiful Barlow but man it sure looks small in your paws:D

lol i just noticed your edit
i THOUGHT that you had directed this at me, but i wasnt Rob so i didnt know

Yeah i have extra large (but not HUGE) hands, i dont really mess with a knife less than 3 3/8" for a handle, thats about the minimum for me (although i do like the buck 309 as a watch pocket secondary knife, but not as a main or primary knife).

so at 3 1/2" this fits ok, just not alot of extra real estate, but enough :D

My lovely spear point loot appeared in the mail today!

A huge thank you to Marksharp!

This is my first TC barlow.

It is a real beauty! The fit and finish are just fantastic!

Another Steel bolstered and linered knife in my pocket used to open the package. It's a bit bigger than the TC

Compared to a 73 for size!

Congrats Bigfattyt, shes a beauty:thumbup:

Way to go Mark, a very very generous contribution:)

Certainly a looker there BigF:thumbup::thumbup: That Sunfish is a GIANT:eek:

Duncan, I've got the Bloodhounds trailing the postman night & day:D:D but it's early days yet. Excited!:)

Regards, Will

Congratulations again T, great-looking knife :)

Yes! Yippee! After a taxing day at work (as usual..):grumpy: I return home to find an interesting note informing me that there's an oversize parcel waiting for me at the P.O. Long queues in there but patience sometimes is a virtue. Then a box from NEW ZEALAND gets handed to me. Drove home like a maniac...:D:D straight to the desk to find my TC Barlow to open Duncan's box, must have the right knife for the job. Behold the RICHES! Not only a sensational Red Jigged Barlow which I admit I've really been looking forward to, but Duncan's kind note informs me of an old EZ-open he decided to let go of too, plus some very pretty pre-dollar coins from NZ. Threepence and Halfpenny. This is The Right Stuff ladies & gentleman. Thank you Duncan for your thoughtfulness and largesse, the EZ Open (check that jigging!) will be given tasks, the Old Boy's still up for it. Now my TC Barlow has a proper mate.

Sincere thanks, Will

Those are some fine gifts Duncan bestowed upon you Will - no doubt much appreciated.:)

Boy the parcels take their time coming from here!!!!
Congrats Will, I am so so glad you have received them my friend, it is simply a pure pleasure to send you that knife that you won fair and square!:thumbup:

Man, Traditionals is such a great place - full of great people - its a huge thank you to my buddies who joined in with me to form an alliance to crush our enemy at the time - we see that he has come around now and is behaving now - just to let him know thouh that John has a few more of them big Fire-crackers my friend if you ever get the notion to try that sort of thing again :D:D
Seriously though - thank you guys, and Will- enjoy that beautiful knife - your other TC looks just grrrrrrrreat!:thumbup:

Fantastic Will:thumbup: Great way to end the day I'd say:D

Very nice Duncan---a great Barlow and an EZ open with coins to boot;) Thanks my friend for allowing us to join you in a terrific GAW:cool:

My most special and beautiful prize from this most mega giveaway has arrived, and finally there was just enough light to take a decent couple of photos. I received from Charlie (waynorth) a #77 Washington Jack in blood red smooth bone. The bone is a gorgeous shade of deep blood red, with just enough mottling to give it some real character and appeal. Smooth bone is not my usual cup of tea (I dig good jigging, you dig?), but this one really works. Thanks again and again, Charlie, and enjoy the pics everyone.
