Teach me About Spyderco

One thing about Spyderco is that the owner of this world wide company is personally involved with his customers. He even joins in the discussions on the forum, from time to time.
I think everyone has suggested good models. I would add the Chaparral for a pocket knife and one of the Sage models. I own a lot of knives but
Spyderco is my favorite brand. I have all the knives listed so far in this thread and they are all good. My most carried are the Delica, Caly 3, Dragonfly G10, and Endura (though the Manix XL may change that).

I should add that Cold Steel is now producing some excellent knives and they are using some of the same steels Spyderco does.

Benchmade, well, I have quite a few, but for the last 3 or 4 years they have made me yawn.

This is very true. Mr. Glesser is awesome.

A big reason I like Cold Steel as much as I do is that they borrow heavily from Spyderco and then take the design in a whole other direction, primarily focusing on durability and the martial arts side of things. While I don't think any knife company can match Spyderco for successful innovation, user friendliness and finesse (not to mention CEO involvement!), I think Cold Steel does the martial arts focus much, much better, with more realistic and functional designs for that use.

That said, I prefer to always have both a Spyderco and a Cold Steel on me at all times. :) What great companies. We're spoiled with excellent choices nowadays.

Whoever said collecting Spydercos is addiction is so RIGHT lol. What I show here is just the tip of the iceberg! :D

I am fairly new to knives and it can be a bit overwhelming to absorb info about all the brands out there. Spyderco has been around for a long time and seems to be very popular on this forum. In your opinion currently what are the most popular and desirable Spyderco's out there right now?

Also in your opinion what are some of the more popular brands out there in the $90 to $200 range? Thanks!

Ohhhh yeah. The Spyderpac. I just got my large one a couple days ago, and I must say, I'm impressed! It fits all of the folders I frequently carry, and that's a tall order!
