Team Gemini Dagger thread, let's get this done!

This is the kind of thread that can get the ball rolling.

Optional serrations might be a good idea and a legitimate consideration.

Let's Drink!!!

Serrations being optional would placate all camps.

Would it be "too much" to also have length options? Like, a short (M) version and a long (P) version? Or would that be too many variables?

Thank You Boss, please lets make it happen, doesn't have to be soon, as long as we know its coming lol

I like serrations because they cut better certain things. Even on partially serrated edges serrations help initiate cuts.

I like serrations on daggers because they already have a full plain edge, so it can benefit from having a full length serrated one too.

Also daggers are for what they are.... not the best camp knife, but it can be a good military knife.

Serrations are also best for cutting meat... if you know what I mean...

And INFI is probably the best steel for serrations.

Not to mention, some serrations can be sharpened normally

as a combat knife its alot harder to stitch a cut made by a serrated knife, each serration is its own cut. i prefer partially serrated blades on my pocket knives and fighters they make for good work blades. i would love to see how INFI serrations hold up. most serrations ware down quickly in work situations.

M as in manly, designed for the professional soldier

P as in pig, designed for sticking pigs

I deny all knowledge of the picture that was allegedly posted earlier, but if it had been posted, I would have liked it.

My preferences would be:
- No serrations - if you want to achieve a similar effect, just keep one edge coarsely sharpened.
- At least as long as the original - a dagger should have reach, it's not for making feather sticks.
- No thicker than the original - this will not be a heavy chopper or a knife for battoning, 3/16 - 1/4" will already be plenty strong enough for other uses.
- LB treatment - a double-edged blade will already be lighter than the original knife, and a LB handle should put the balance exactly where it should be.

You made some solid observations.

I am a strong proponent of the LB treatment, and a fuller would make it super sexy. I would love to see this at 7"+, but a mini version would be sweet too. As far a thickness goes more than 3/16" I feel would be necessary, so .220 to 1/4" might be the sweet spot.

I'm not a fan of serrations but the idea of a TG dagger with flying mojo style serrations is very appealing to me for some reason.

No Serrations please!!! All the designing and testing to eliminate inherent stresses...why add some on purpose?
An they make a blade look gimmicky to me...usually

I reckon an 11 inch version with one side only ground about half way, leaving a flat bit of spine for batoning etc. A good solid bayonet style pig sticker.

The more I think about it...the more I like it. After all, most of the time I just want to stab stuff with my TG....so a Team Gemini Dagger sounds perfect. ....especially for zombie night!

I believe I like this version the best, fingers crossed for the Busse Bayo Pig Sticker.
