Team Gemini grip review... or should you get an LBTG thoughts. PIC HEAVY

Westfork, you weren't joking when you said the TG is your favorite!  Those busse colors on a satin TG are amazing... the fasteners look like the same ones used on my BWM LE bowie variant, a very high quality stainless or the like. If I remember right you had a coated bruiser & pumpkin a while back too. ;) That bowie still gets me with how much different it looks with no fuller... I wonder how one of those would look modded like Al-Sheikh's? Are you thinking of going to Blade this year?

Thanks for the great thread!

Maybe I'm biased since my first Busse was one of the TGs offered in the cupidganzaaa, but I have to agree with Tim and cricketdave on the great design that's gone into the TG. I do think it is an underrated blade, and your pics illustrate the reality about the double guard quite well: it isn't nearly as much of an ergonomic issue as people make it out to be.

I've been missing mine since i sold it and can't wait to try out the LBTG.

My one complaint about the original TG design was the edge geometry that resulted from the convex grind...while it makes for a beefy TANK of a knife, I couldn't even cut paper with it because of how thick it is behind the edge, so I didn't think it that great for food prep or slice and dice camp chores. The hollow grind should rectify this problem which will only enhance the all around utility of the TG.

From the super comfortable handle design, to the slight curve which enhances chopping ability, to that fuller, and those sweet lines...I love the TG!

the 711 from SYCKO which is basically an improved remake of the Camp Tramp

Not meaning to hijack; but isn't the Camp Tramp differentially hardened, and the 711 through hardened? Why do you say "improved"?
