Hey everyone, i just got 2 Team Gemini Light Brigades in the mail and noticed some differences that i thought were intereseting. Pics below!

Here you can see the fuller is much larger and deeper on the black TGLB

Here you can see the tip more acute on the black TGLB

Does anyone know of or seen any other differences in TGLB's?

Oh and i forgot to take photos but the hollow grind on the black TGLB is far more prominent. The muddy brown TGLB might even be flat saber

The Muddy and red/blk G10 one is a real good fake. Sorry you got taken like that. I'll take that bad memory off your hands for you and I'll even send ya some liquid refreshments to help ease the pain of being scammed like that.

;)

I had a TGLB with the big fuller that also had the remnants of a smaller one in the bottom. Like maybe they cut the small one first and then went back with the big one but it didn't go deep enough to clean it up.

I had that on the first TGLB i bought. Weird how there are all these small differences. Would be cool to see some production vids from the shop to see how it all happens. Might give us some clues to the differences we see

Got one TG BG for me and one for my brother in law. One is 2mm longer than the other.
Makes me wonder about kydex sheaths. If made fit snug they might fit one blade but not the other.

I have noticed the same and I have noticed there's almost 3 different kinds. The ones like the black one are very slicey.i notice on the black one you have you can see that lip between the grind and the fuller I was telling you about. I have one of each stripped and when the are you can really notice the difference.

There are differences between my 2 TGLB's as well. Only one will fit my Skystorm Leather sheath, only one will fit my AzWelke Black Kydex the other will only fit into my AzWelke Brown kydex. The Nuclear Meltdown Treatment is way less rounded off on my newest TGLB, my oldest TGLB is much more rounded. The Fuller grooves appear to be identical, but the blade profile on my newest is thicker and less slicey than my old one.

Any chance we could get a width measurement of the fullers on the two in the OP? I just checked mine and it has the stabby tip but I'm not so sure that it has the wide fuller. The fullers on mine measure out to 7/16ths of an inch, on the nose.

I had one Tglb that the edges were almost not rounded at all I thought it was a battle grade at first. I really wonder why there is so much variation.

That's QUITE a difference. Maybe tool life was nearing the end for the tan tglb. Still "in tolerance" just at the end of the tools life where it would be cutting less deep, wide, and long. ..it would explain why all of the numbers are lower than the black one.

The black tglb would have been cut with brand new tools.

Interesting. That could very well be the case. It's also worth noting the grind on the Muddy Brown TGLB is more of a flat saber than a shallow hollow, i wonder what that is from?

Tool wear also. Same path, just less tool to take off material. When a tool wears, it wears away from the edge like a popsicle sort of.

Think of it like moving the tool away from the metal, but still having it take the same cutting path to remove material. However far you move it from the work, that's how much more material will be left on the blade.

In this case the hollow will be much less pronounced.

Well a 9mm cartridge rolls around with room to spare, and if I remember right certain long loads for the .44 mag was sometimes referred to as the 11.9mm magnum so I'm calling this one right at 12mm.

Interesting, weight difference?

I would do weight but the Muddy Brown one has G10 scales which are heavier so it would be a fair/accurate comparison.

And here I am without a metric tape or ruler. Lol!

Google is your friend!

Also, i just realised the black one has a slight recurve. I'm trying to get pics but it's very hard to capture on camera, much easier to see with your eye
