The difference would be in the hollow grind and fuller differences. All the handles have the LB treatment.

Hmmmmm? That is a considerable difference if you ask me. That's a 3+ oz difference. I wonder if the heavier one's handles weren't milled?

I have had a few and just by looking at your pictures you can tell the grey one is ground a lot leaner than the black one. Look at the differences in how much deeper the grind is in the choil. The thin ground ones are great cutters.
I completely understand minor variances. However, 3oz seems like more than a minor variance. When I hold them they seem like TOTALLY different knives.
If it is not the grind and fuller that I mentioned then what else could it be? Are you actually suggesting that one of the handles are not milled/given the Light Brigade treatment? ...
What I'm saying is that one knife is 3.2oz lighter than the other. When I first held the knives I was stunned to feel the weight differences. Considering they are both TGLB with G-10 handles they should be relatively close in weight. I wouldn't question + 1 oz. However, 3.2oz seems like a large variance. My initial thought was that the handle was not milled out. The LB treatment reduces the knife by roughly 6 oz so that would't be too far off.
Nonetheless, I am surprised to see such differences between identical knives. If you look at it this way, the black/orange knife is 22.07% heavier than the grey/blue knife.
