They look close in size but the Explorer feels a bit bigger. Also, each knife I make will be a little different. I don't use templates or anything to make my knives. I pretty much just eyeball it. Here's a 4" HWK that I just finished for a forum member.. He wanted a 4" blade with 3/16" stock so I made the blade just a little taller than if I would have used 1/8" stock.

I can never see this one too much. It's a good thing, since I'll probably sleep with it under my pillow, cuddle with it while watching the tube and then beat it like a......................... well you get the idea.

That's great. I bet the Fiddleback will blow your mind! Andy makes the best handles in the biz.

I am probably a bit biased, but I think you'll like the HWK too.
