Ted Wood -- Three Months, Still No Refund

Can someone give me a run down on all the names this guy goes by. I think he may be the one who sold me a "mint" resharpened Simba. Can't remember for sure though. Perhaps some various aliases will kick in my memory. (A memory I've been trying to forget. I sold that knife at a BIG loss.)
I don't want to attribute my deal to him until I can remember for sure.
Thanks
Doc

Doc,

If you bought the knife on Ebay, he used to use the handle "trwoods" before he got kicked off Ebay for the first time. For a long time I thought his name was Ted Woods because of that, but I think his name is Ted Wood without the "s". He may go by Ted Woods too though.

Then he used "knifeman666" unil he got booted again. He logged in using his wife's contact information.

He originally contacted me using his wife's name of Lori Wood. I would not have dealt with him if I had made the connection.

Hope that helps, I don't know of any other names that he uses. He claims to have another business sellin business machines or something. I wouldn't bu anything from this guy!

Kevin

Doc,

ted the hood also went by "crosscountry" on Blade Auction. I doubt he's still using that name if he's still lurking there. If you still have it, send me some of your BJ seller's writing and I'll know if it's ted the hood.

That's why I'm racking my memory so hard. I lost my hard drive about mid September and all of my records of the deal with it. It was advertised as a "near mint" BJ Simba. He told me about one small stain/blemish on the left of the blade. What I got was a BJ Simba (at least that part was accurate) that had a "blemish" on the left. There were also "blemishes" on the right top and bottom all caused by a sorry at best resharpening job. It looked like someone had used a cinder block for a sharpening stone.
When I return emailed, I was told it was just as descibed. He offered to take it back but I had gotten it to use. My problem with the deal was that I paid "near mint" price for the thing instead of user price. I sold the thing to a friend of mine at about a $85 loss.
At least my buddy got a fair deal on it and still uses it on his ranch.
Due to my crap memory and loss of the info, I can't be sure that it is this same guy. When I found this post, it set off all of the bells and whistles along with the red flags in my head.

Thanks to Timac this name has surfaced again. I have gotten some information on a possible location for Mr. Woods, if he still owes folks some dough or some steel [great word to use with Ted's name]

E-mail me at wolfmann601@aol.com if I can help you with Ted......Thanks Tom for the great tip, you are a true formite....Ira

But hopefully very soon Ted Woods may just be trying on some new jewerly made by Smith and Wesson.
TMAC, Thanks again, without your help I would not have been able to help out a pair of formites. It appears that Ted enjoyed selling on E-bay far more than he did shipping the knife to the winning bidder.
While there may not be a warrant in effect for the show in Michigan this weekend, I sure hope Ted shows up and someone grabs the microphone and "properly introduces" the MAN OF STEAL

It looks like Teddy showed up at the Wolverine knife show last Saturday and Sunday. He sold a several knives, but did not set up a booth.

The detective from the Oakland County substation who is looking for Ted could not attend the show. He had a bigger case that came up and he had to work on it instead. Something about a murder/suicide. So, Teddy has slipped by again.

This detective is very interested in knowing Teddy's whereabouts. Ted closed down one knife shop in Clarkston, MI then opened another and closed it down too. The good detective would like to ask Mr. Wood some questions, if he can locate him. Ted is not answering his phone, and has not kept his car registration address current. Ted has crawled back under his rock. According to a previous thread, Ted's computer is probably toast from an email virus that he was spreading. So he is probably not online anymore.

It looks like my complaint against Ted is the only one so far, and even though the detective is keeping it open, until he talks to Ted, he doesn't have enough evidence to issue a warrant. If anyone has any information on the location of Mr. Wood I can forward it to the detective.

There was/is a SERIOUS Problem with this. The response of the POLICE:( :( :(

There was quite a bit of Communication concerning TED'S Presence at the Wolerine show. The Detective Divison made it VERY CLEAR that this was a PRIORITY and that they were seriously involved in this Investigation.

While ONLY ONE formal criminal complaint had been filed at the time of the SHOW, The POLICE OFFICERassigned to this case KNEW exactly how ELUSIVE TED WOODS is, and how difficult is has been to nail him down and ARREST HIS BUTT.

They also know, his conduct IS Felonious.

There was/is a Committment on the part of LE to have made an appearance at this show, with WARRANT in hand and execute said Warrant, taking Teddy into POLICE CUSTODY.

There is NO EXCUSE for their failure to see this through. EVEN IF the Investigating Officer DID find himself having to handle something of a higher Priority, he SHOULD HAVE requested assistance in having someone at the show to execute the Arrest Warrant. There certainly is sufficient PROBABLE CAUSE for the Issuance of said Warrant, and ANY Law Enforcement Officer may make an arrest on a Warrant, even if the warranyt is not in his hands at the time. They have a Photo of Teddy and SOMEONE Really needed to follow-up and be present at THAT SHOW:mad:

No excuses on this one guys. A LAZY COP, not wanting to give up a Saturday...........PERIOD
