i've had my spirit since august of last year and so far its been on several hikes, fishing trips and a camping trip.
The one thing about the spirit is that the philips head driver has a tendency to slip while turning, however if you but enough pressure on it the bit does not slip
other then that its a fantastic tool and nice to have.
i am fairly comfortable having it with me everywhere because it has a sheeps foot style blade (not sure what its called but the end is squared off). it still provies all the slicing i need to do on a daily basis but looks alot less threatening which is a bonus because i have my swisstool with me even when i'm in university.
i'm sure u'll live one if you get one.
cheers
