Tell me about Zero Tolerance knives

As far as I know, every ZT is made in the USA! I seriously recommend the 0200. If you like fixed, you could also go with the 0121. I have that too and it is my best fixed blade IMO!

I have a 0150 Boot Knife that I bought from ZT/Kershaw for $70 using their now-expired military discount.

I freaking love the knife and take it with me everywhere as it has the best sheath I've ever seen and used. I love the construction and the durability is great so far. I can't seem to get it sharpened, but that's not the blade's fault, it is more user-error than anything.

Anyways... what is the difference between the Kershaw Spec Bump and the ZT 0200? I see that though Spec Bump uses S30V they both seem to be of similar designs.

Every ZT is hand assembled in Oregon at the Kershaw manufacturing facility.
Each knife is serialized (numbered) and dated (month/year of manufacture).
All info is here http://www.ztknives.us

... Great knives !!

Awesome knives, I HATE recurves, but for some reason I love that knife, it's friggin huge and heavy, but if that isn't a problem you'll love it! They're all bargains for what you get!

Just to be accurate, it's actually the Kai USA facility where ZT's (and Kershaw's) knives are built.

This site is not worded correctly. Zero Tolerance Knives is not a collaboration with Kai USA, Ken Onion, and Strider Knives. ZT knives is a brand name of Kai USA. Ken and Strider have designed knives within the line. Tim Galyean and Grant and Gavin Hawk are also makers that have designed ZT patterns.

The web site is also not affiliated with ZT Knives or Kai USA in any way. Sonoma Cutlery is a dealer of ZT Knives.

Thanks,

They're both great knives.The 0200 is bigger & heavier.More of a workhorse IMO
for instance...I've chopped off 1" branches with one swing with my 0200.Don't think I could do that with a spec-bump or many other folders.

I also own a ZT 0200 and completely agree with all the positive comments about this knife!

My only problem with the ZT 0200 is that the blade is too long to legally carry in my pocket in Colorado where I live. :( Colorado law restricts "concealed" blades (i.e., in your pocket or elsewhere out of view) to 3.5 inches or less. Be sure to check your local "concealed carry" laws.

Ken, of course you have contributed more to ZT, but I didn't think the thread was calling for that. Was just correcting the inaccuracy of a couple of sentences in the linked site above.

I noticed that the clip looks small for the big knife. How does it feel in your pocket? Does it move around?
