I see that is a long discution about the resistence of F1.
I never hold in my hand the temperance 2, (I am more a bushcraft type
) but a had a F1. I can not tell what I did with the knife. everithing from chopping to batoning wood and one time a pork skull. I crack a pork skull wih the F1 (and a wood baton)! and yes, I had some chips, but not something that could not be removed in a regular way.
it is a very good carver, good for feathersticks and for scraping the ferrorod.
the only downside of the knife (for me) is the handle, wich is a little thinner. but in the rest, i test everythink with that blade (vg10) and i was very pleased. so i recommend you the F1.
with a strip of leather on the handle was perfect
