sent out the temperance yesterday,
after putting the temperance through several tests here are my results -
first the cardboard slicing, i stacked up 4 sheets of thin cardboard and proceeded to cut away, the temperance sliced through the cardboard like a hot knife through butter, it just kept cutting and cutting without any signs of getting dull.
next i proceeded to start chopping some scrap wood i found in my yard, i don't know what kind of wood it is but it's a pretty dense wood. wood chips started flying everywhere as the temperance bit deep into the wood with each swing (i assume the thin grind helps it dig deep) however it was obvious the knife was not meant for chopping after a short while, the big bulge in the handle makes it awkward while chopping and fatigue came quickly. also after examining the edge i can see small chips.
next i proceeded to see how sharp the knife was after the cutting and chopping, it couldn't shave anymore and it hard difficulty slicing paper. at first i thought that a few swipes on the sharpmaker fine stones would make it shaving sharp again but i was wrong. i hard to go to the medium stones and then then fine stones to get it back to shaving sharp
all in all the knife is good, the tek lok system is really ingenius, it allows for so many carrying options. the knife itself is an excellent slicer, chopping on the other hand should be reserved for axes. however i do find one problem with the knife - the size. personally it would be too big for everyday carry and too small to be a considerably useful camp knife
