I've chased CPKs for several years now (5, 6? not sure but before it was CPK) and I don't own a utility fighter. They are not easy to come by. Nathan's popularity has picked up in the last couple years (for good reason) and it's getting harder to compete in these sales. I had something come up and could not compete in this sale, but I tried in the last sale and couldn't make the first page. If I didn't have friends here with fast fingers and big hearts it would be very difficult now. My advice would be to spend some time in the CPK subforum, get to know folks and let them know you, and then put the word out on the models you're after. I can guarantee concerns like yours bother the CPK team, but as Nathan already said, they're doing the best they can. The supply is limited and this is a small (3-4? person) company.

Just take a step back, learn the process. Maybe buy a basic or gold membership so folks can talk with you privately. LOTS of CPKs get traded around that way. And try to have fun. It's much less of a hassle if you're having fun and then these sales start to get in your blood.

It took me about 9 months of trying to get my first CPK. I know how you feel. But with a little practice, now I get lucky for time to time. These are really great knives. They are worth the "hassle". It really becomes quite fun just seeing where you place, It just takes a little bit to get the hang of the sales.
Like Hard Knocks said , get a membership, get to know some of the regulars, they might provide some insights or perhaps even proxy for you. Good luck.
