Ten days and no Money Order

Well, I think it is time I said something.
First of all I sent MO in time. It did get lost.
I kept a clear line of communication, I wrote to you about every step I took.
When I started getting worried that MO has not arrived, you told me to wait for a few more days. I wrote to you, that I am going o Post Office and explained, that MO was puchased there (same as USPS MO), therefore only Post Office could tell me if it was cashed. I got my money back. I offered you to have my buddy in NJ make a new MO for you, so the history will not repeat. I even went as far as adding another $5 to the original MO for shipping, even though we agreed on $ shipped. I have never asked you to lower the value on the custom slip. And know you writing: "...Im afraid a bombs gonna show up instead."?
You know what, keep the knife. I'll find another

Its nice that you posted a response but I think you are being a bit thin skinned on this matter. Having dealt with Trimcut123 on a couple of deals I know he is a standup guy and in this thread all he is looking for is advice.
 
I sent a money order to canada once. Before the seller shipped the knife. It took 3-4 weeks. We both had the tracking info. and tracked it. The hold up was at customs. But eventually everyone was happy. We just had to be patient. It helped that we each provided one another with the proper tracking info. Piece of mind.
 
If I had a dollar for every time someone told me that they wanted something I was selling and that they were going to send a money order, I would have enough money to never have to sell any of my stuff again!

Paypal sucks and they are anti-gun which pisses me off but it is nice to know that if someone is really buying what you are selling, you will know within a short time if they are serious or not. If someone tells me that want item X and that they are going to send a MO, I consider myself lucky if they ever send it out.

Seriously, I think it is about 50% chance that people will ever bother to send a MO. I am almost to the point of not accepting them and not paying with them anymore.

I have had it take 10 days and longer for a MO to get to me so I would say, give it another week or 10 days and then you will know if he really sent it or not. When you use snail mail, you had better be willing to wait until the snail arrives.
 
Thats what im doing right now cuz he doesnt even have any feedback and has no way to show proof of a money order. I would post him with an ugly but i dont know if i should. Hes a real dork though, and i would not even talk to this guy if i dont have too. Its like hes from another planet. Shady Fella.
 
You calling me names? Why don't you explain how you ended-up trying to SELL without been at least a gold member. You posted it in exchange forum, and right of the bat told me that you want cash. I hope moderator will take a look at you shadow dealings, you freaking liar. I am reporting to him and posting you as UGLY.
To the rest of members viewing this - check my deal with PackRat - clean and fast, or ask Ken at SoonerState, I buy mostly from him. See what they will say.
 
I love these arguements. I have not had to take part in one yet. Im not trying to sell here on the forums. I have it in the for trade section. And since you emailed me, and asked if i would be willing to sell it i said yes. I have been trading and selling knives for a long time, off the net and around shops and with collectors around where i live. I did not even use your name when i put this post in the section. So no one knew who the heck i was talking about. I mainly just wanted feedback. I am not trying to break any rules. And i wont. How bout we leave it at we just never deal with eachother . As you have not yet sent any cash or MO yet. I just dont think we had good communication. You told me you had no feedback you know of and i just felt like i should forget about the whole thing, considering its an out of U.S. deal and it just seems like a pain in the butt to me. I just have a bad feeling when i was talking about doing the deal. And i wanted to know if i should stick to it anyway. No harm done Thnks alot man

I can tell you right now that Canada Post does not give you your money back on a lost or destroyed money order. You must fill out an Enquiry and Application form for a replacement money order. The replacement will be issued after 50 days if it is a domestic money order and 90 days if it is an international money order. You can then get reimbursement for the replacement money order. The only way you can get your money back immediately is if you turn in the whole money order, and since this one had been mailed, it would have been impossible for you to do that.

It would really be a shame if i were kicked off the forums for this, as it is my favorite past time. However i dont think i will. But you however should be banned. You are simply BAD NEWS! And if you do descide to make a post about me as an ugly, then i hope some of the guys i traded with would be able to slam that post with some good comments about my trading tactics.

It's essentially the same in the US, and it must be anywhere. If they gave you your money back the moment you claim the money order hasn't reached the addressee that would be a bonanza for thieves.

They cancel the money order and then they wait a good while to make sure that money order hasn't been cashed already and everybody all over the country knows not to cash it. Then they can issue a refund.
 
I just wnted to say I made a trade with trimcut123 and he was a stand up guy. He has never lied to me, sent the package out when he said he would. . I would be happy to deal with Matt any time :thumbup: .

I really cant believe you man. I guess copying and pasting from my emails just doesnt work. What kind of proof do i need man. All i am doing here is covering my own butt.. the more you say, the more i truthfully have to give evidence. I really wish this thread could be locked , cuz all your doing is annoying me.

I am not wrong. Below is a quote taken from the Canada Post website.

For enquiries regarding a lost or destroyed Money Order, the Customer must provide Canada Post with the serial number which appears on the copy of the Money Order. The Customer must also complete an Enquiry and Application for a Duplicate Money Order form (41-015-160), which is available at any postal outlet.

Enquiry and Application for a Duplicate Money Order forms may be submitted to Money Order Services at any time. However, duplicates will only be issued, free of charge, 50 days from the date of issue of a domestic Money Order, and 90 days from the date of issue of an international Money Order.
 
Trimcut123, just forward the e-mails to someone and they can say if you edited them or not. If you didn't, the other guy is going to look like a total jerk. Real simple.
 
Sorry, that wouldn't prove anything. An email is just a text file; anyone can edit it and forward it. I doubt anybody is having much difficulty deciding who to believe anyway....
 
Thats true, an email can be altered anyway. I think i have made my point clear. I hope this is all said and done with.
