I think there are some similarities. I have owned a few Rolex's over they years, I have a Yachtmaster currently. Rolex is an iconic classic watch, that is extremely durable, functional and well made. As an example I had an uncle who was a pipeliner, his watch was filthy by the end of each day his solution was to throw the watch it into a vat degreaser over night then rinse it off the next morning and get back at it. He wore a Datejust with a jubilee bracelet not Sub or any of the tool watches with crown guards and he beat the hell our of that watch and it just kept going and going, and looking great. I had a client that was brick layer, he lost his Airking which he had worn faithfully to work for 20 years, covered it mortar and crap daily. He had the watch stolen from him and as a result he worked side jobs until he could afford to get the watch back on his wrist and he told me he missed it everyday it was gone. Rolex is well made product that is coveted and prized by it's owners and has a following of loyal clients that would never use anything else, very much like CRK. I love them and if I could afford to I would have a few but for now I am happy to have one.
