Tenacious: A real Spyderco

I'd like to say it isn't a real Spyderco because it's made of cheap steel in China, but sadly it is. I wouldn't buy one on principle.

if you dont like the wavy grind take some sand paper too it with a lil bit of work it will have a nice shiny blade that you can see your self in

I have both the Tenacious and the Persistence and they are great knives for the price. The grinds on both of mine look good and they came very sharp out of the box. Yes, they are made of a cheaper steel but as badly as I sharpen it takes nothing to get em hair poppin sharp again.

I remember back about 5 year ago when I first started collecting Spyderco I agonized over dropping 60 bucks on a knife. Now, (laugh) I pray that's all it will cost. This line is a good way for someone to get an intro into the Spyderco line at half that price.

Well... I think the BM Vex is a better knife than the Tenacious. A little sturdier and a little better design. But that´s just me!
It's also irrelevant. If you have any thoughts on wether or not the Tenacious has what it takes to be a Spyderco, please share them.

As a Spyderco-branded knife, the Tenacious is very good value.
As a Chinese-made knife, it is not inexpensive.

China's own Land brand makes knives using the same steel. F&F might even be better on some models and they all cost less than 10 dollars. No brand recognition though as they don't do any marketing at all. And I think the only R&D they do is from producing knives for other brands.

And 813 steel and sharpening? Burrrrrrrrrr...........

Life is far too short to play with knives that has been produced by chinese children.
If you believe Sal Glesser would have his knives produced by Chinese children, perhaps you should refrain from buying Spyderco altogether.

You forget to mention that both those reviewers highly recommend the Tenacious.

Real logical nutnfancy "cuts of his thumb"...I must buy that knife. I have also handeld that knife and was really near to hurt myself bad. Coincidence??? Perhaps but I´m not taking any more chances with the Tenacious.
