It's supposed to drop to -27F tonight..... i think I'm gonna spend the night in the bush! I know it sounds stupid.... but this is the perfect time to learn....

-33 in Jamestown ND this morning but just south of us in Aberdeen SD they were -42. Here in Jamestown we had a 20 MPH wind with the -33, It is 10 am now and it's up to -26. I had to get up and take the wife to work this morning and just surviving to get to the garage was no fun. Speaking of shelter though, while it was -33 outside, it was 10 above in the garage and it has no heat. Makes a heck of a difference.

I don't know how you guys do it! I won't even mention that its been in the mid 80's here all week.

Thank God we've got all this global warming going on. Imagine how cold it would be without it. I might need to buy some carbon off-sets just so I can burn em for warmth.

13 this am.

I was freezing last night and kept waking up and this morning I discovered that during the night the kitchen door had blown open:o

of course, since as a system of measurement, metric makes WAYYYY more sense, not as arbitrary as the old, antiquitous imperial system.

+3c here :p

The metric system when used for temperature is less accurate than the British Imperial system, 1 degree Celsius being almost 2 degrees Fahrenheit, although I realize that is splitting hairs.

The conversion of the British Imperial measurement to Metric, while our largest trading partner and closest friend, the USA didn't, is one of many reasons, Pierre Elliot Trudeau shall remain a much despised figure.

Old, antiquitous DOC-CANADA

BTW, I must have made a mistake - I thought I was going to the Wilderness and Survival Skills forum, not the Biggest Pu##y Forum. :(

Winter is beautiful, and IT HAPPENS EVERY YEAR! :D , although I don't think I'll be joining Magnussen tonight. :o

(-17C, or more importantly +1F, and relatively calm, here at the moment)

Told my boys this morning that it was a good day not to be a garbage man.

Of course, thats true every day.

I guess that depends on if the alternative is standing in line outside of a soup kitchen. Lets' remember that garbage man, unlike lawyer, is one of those jobs that can cause the fall of western civilization if left undone.

Colder' hell here. Woke up to low 50s. Then warms up to 70s by afternoon.:D
