It's only +1F here right now, pretty nice. Haven't been outside yet, though. May slip out for a few this afternoon.
 
Bunch of whimps, it is 87 degrees here and I got a sunburn yesterday LOL.
Think im going to go down to the stream and sit in it LMAO.
 
Its warmed up a lot since I got to work this morning. It was -23 (actual) its now -13 (actual). What a difference 5 hrs can make!
 
Ya I was impressed that my town made the news today with "the coldest reported temp in chicagoland this morning" at the time, that was -14 with -38 wind chills. I think that got beat though.
 
It was cold as hell yesterday. Wind blowing strong. Wind chill way below zero. Had to work next to the Mississippi. Couldnt do anything with gloves on. Take gloves off for a few minutes until fingers are numb and stiff, then put back on. Even colder today. Screw work for a couple of days. Im thawing out.
 
-19 with -30 to -40 windchill here.
I accidentally bumped into my wife's van after I got out of my truck this afternoon. While changing out of my work clothes and removing my shirt part of my nipple fell out. Will superglue hold it on?

Same here. All the local schools and some businesses have shut down until next week. No snow or anything, it's just to dang cold to function.

Only for a short time. Try gorilla glue for a better hold. Or just get rid of the other one and tell everyone you're so manly you were born without nipples. :thumbup:
 
Surely it's a good thing being this cold as now you have a very valid reason to have a fire while out and it thins the herd of other people that can be out crowding the woods.

I don't really care how cold it gets it's more about the 'rap juice'. If it's raining then a little tweak to my kit is needed but too much.
 
-18 F this morning. Car will turn over but not "catch". I think the fuel line is frozen. Hopefully it'll thaw out later and I can get it running. No work for me today which means no pay for today, :mad:

BAH!! Global warming my butt!! I'm going back to bed.

We were out in the field all week. I slept out side (on a cot in my sleeping bag system). It wasn't too bad except getting up to take a leak or get the battle-rattle back on. Anything in the teens and below just plain sucks...I feel for you guys up north!

It's a lot warmer here now but last week dipped to -10. It starts off funny hearing people going on about that as Artic weather conditions but it gets dull after the first dozen or so.
 
We've got a bit cooler than we were yesterday.
Temp this morning is -12°F with wind at -25°F

I hit the remote starter on my wifes car and I think the car told me to "get bent" . Of course it didn't start but the remote start thought it did. I had reset the thing by disconnecting the battery. That was fun.:rolleyes:
