Hi, All,

Just want to say thank you. It's great to come back here, and you guys are all such great contributors and just really cool people, and I feel like it's a real community. My job as moderator is so easy because of you. So easy, in fact, that this forum ran itself while I was absent for awhile. I feel that my role here is just to look out for you guys to make it as fun and informative as possible - I work for you, and this is our forum, not my forum.

Looking forward to arranging get-togethers so we can meet in person, practice skills, make mistakes together and learn, and laugh around the campfire. I always find that folks who love the wilderness are usually the most laid-back and easygoing types around, and you all are proof of that.

Anyone here who gets up to or through Connecticut, give me a heads-up. Beers are on me.

All Best,

Brian.

Good to have you back Brian. So glad you're doing well. Look forward to sharing a campfire in the near future.
Scott

You know it is nice to have you as well Brian. As a moderator you are very enthusiastic and as far as I have seen fair in your comments. I was wondering why you never posted in the past because I've always seen you name on the bottom where it has members and guests! I agree the people here on the wilderness and survival and on bladeforums as a whole are good folk for sure. I for one have learned alot from the experience of the other forumites. Not to mention bought more knives!!!:)

Cool. Good to have you back!

Right on! Glad to see you around again. This is definitely one of my most favorite and 'personal' places on the web for me to visit, there are some great people around here. I'm hoping to get to put some faces to these names eventually!

Marty, Kevin, and I are discussing ideas and plans to organize get-togethers. Stay tuned!

Yes, it's nice to have a hands off type moderator who enjoys the Forum they're moderating like you do Brian. I mostly read the forum and enjoy the threads here because of the level of civility vs hostilty at other places. Might raise you a beer when I get up there this Summer on my way out to SE CT to redesign a dairy farm into a horse farm. Kudos to you for taking the time to be here for the members.

Brian, I didn't have the pleasure of meeting you here in the past. From the the past few days I've been back here myself I can see from your numerous comments and contributions your genunine enthusiasm for the topics. I wish you the best, and we're all pulling for keeping this sub-forum at the top of its game!

Ken

Thanks, guys - 1tracker, you're on for the beer! Shout here on the forum when you're coming up and we'll arrange it!

I really like it here too, this is where I spend a majority of my time while online. This place is a wealth of information:thumbup: I am cosntantly finding new things here to try on my next outing.

Brian, it's been a great getting to know you over the last month or so. This little corner of BF is by far my favorite. The "action" here has been even better since you got back.

I'm only so enthusiastic because of the members here and your ability to post thoughtfully and sincerely. It's easy - I can't help it!
