I have just received a most wonderful gift from Sarah (pertinux). My very first Charlow. I've been wanting one for quite a while, and with all the Charlow Buzz in the air lately, it was time to start saving some pennies and hope the stars align. And then you just up and send me one! I am just so touched by your generosity. Thank you so much. Not only for the gifted knife, but for your generosity of spirit- you contribute so much to this forum, it is greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much, Sarah! There's something so old fashioned and classic about a long pull clip with pen Barlow. Any Charlow is a lovely gift, but if I were to choose one, it would be this one. How did you know?

I promise, I will use it.

How awesome!!! And one of my favorite user configurations, the long pull clip/pen combo in ebony....so nice! Congrats on a great knife and what an amazing gift from a very generous member.

That is a beautiful Barlow. Something about ebony just really catches my eye. The generosity around here runs deep, as does the pool of kind and deserving people.

Rachel - your wonderful write-up and photos made my day. Congrats on your first Charlow. In my mind, the only thing better than a great knife is a great knife with an even better story behind it, and that seems to be what you have. :thumbup:

A wonderful gift by a wonderful member to another wonderful member - WOW Pertinux!!

I have told Sarah that she needs to market that wonderful pen stroke. I received a thank you note from her and thought it had come through a time machine !!

Sarah could have comfortably drafted the US Constitution !
