Thank you pertinux

Well done, Sarah!
Congratulations Rachel. I'm sure you'll treasure that Charlow.

Congratulations r8shell, classic knife. The owl lady done good (again)! ;)

Is that a 'Sniffer Cat' in action? Specially trained to find choice knives hidden in exciting boxes...

Those Charlows don't grow on trees, well, the Ebony kind of did once:D:D

Nice to see and read, thanks to both of you.

Regards, Will

Good on you Sarah, the karma continues.

You *both* made my day.

Wow!!! Nicely Done Sarah, what a beautiful knife to gift, R8shell deserves it too - well done to both of you!

Congratulations Rachel on a fine gift, you are most deserving.

I too love your writing Sarah and what a generous gift, well done.

"It is better to give than to receive." Receiving isn't too bad either is it Rachel?

Wonderful gesture Ms. ~ P.I know how you treasure and take great care with your knives. I guess parting sometimes has sweet sorrow.

Congratulations, Rachel, on that splendid Charlow! A couple of days ago, I laughed out loud when I read the "fine print promises" you made in your entry in the massive Charlow/sheath GAW extravaganza, and I'm happy to see that you renewed those vows in this thread!

And, of course, kudos to Sarah for her thoughtfulness and generosity! Those characteristics are evident (from so many people) in this forum so often. I try to make sure I can spend a few minutes here near the start and the end of each day; it serves as a great attitude adjustment time for me!

Very nicely done on the giving and the receiving ends!
Some people in this world could benefit greatly by observing the "goings on" around this place.

This made me smile. A great gesture from on of our great Ladies to the other.

Well done, Sarah - I´ve also been the reciever of your generosity. :)

I was as excited for this package to reach r8shell as I've ever been for an expected knife to reach me.

Thanks for the great pictures, Rachel!

I can't add to what I've already written, captured above.

Once I knew who this knife belonged to, and some sense of why, it was simply a matter of securing an address and sending it on its way.

... In the midst of one of the most stressful seasons I've known, at a time when I regret having so little resource from which to draw for most of my 'real' life (let alone more time here in this midst, where virtual community is continually made Real), it's deeply gratifying to be part of something hitting the spot for someone else.

Plus, it was just plain all-out fun, getting to send this top-shelf knife to a top-shelf knife lover.

Nice gift. Also love the quote "an' I will hold it and pet it and name it george.............." Not sure how much longer anyone will know what the refers to.

Apparently I'm one who didn't recognize the reference (and I'm old enough to know better)! I thought Rachel was expressing her heartfelt longings in her own words. My daughter, who loved reading Of Mice and Men, would be so disappointed in me. Fortunately, Dave's comment helped me learn how out of touch I am. Here's a link that educated me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Of_Mice_and_Men_in_popular_culture
