The 23 quietly watched a Black and Decker electric knife make quick work of the bird. (Blasphemy, I know, but it’s a tradition that I’ve been doing for more than a decade) And then posed for a glamor shot. An excellent meal today with my beautiful family. Very thankful.

There is turkey, hiding under the stuffing and gravy. Sides of blackeye peas, green beans, cranberry sauce. And a small glass of egg nog.

Years and years ago my wife and I both admitted to not liking turkey.
We asked why we felt compelled to eat it twice a year when we don't even enjoy it.
Since then we have had non-traditional Thanksgiving meals, usually some type of roast or ham.
