Thanksgiving giveaway!

I’ve been a member here for a couple years and it’s about time for me to give something back. I’m thankful to be a part of this community so let’s call it a Thanksgiving giveaway. I don’t have a very deep collection yet, I’m working on it, but I’d like to pass along something nice. This Case Canoe was described as a 1974 model on the listing but it’s hard to tell since the tang stamp is partially hidden. I bought it because that’s my birth year and I wanted something special to carry. Hopefully one of you will enjoy it as much as I have.

Entries are limited to participating members of the porch, let’s say 25 posts. To enter, simply post a picture of anything related to your Thanksgiving festivities. Knives are optional, but if included they must be traditional. International entries are also welcome, just tell us something you’re thankful for and you’re in. You may enter for someone else if you’d like, just state who you’d like to enter for.

I’ll keep this open until Sunday night, then I’ll do a drawing from the list of entered names and announce the winner. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

I left the knife world a few ago and have not been back but a short time I remember a time when GAWS were so common there were several each month. You are representing the spirit of the porch well and are the kind of people that make this place so special. Great GAW with a great prize and I echo what Charlie said "Not an entry, but Kudos to you, and the lucky winner!!!"

I'm out, since I already have an Amber Jigged bone Case CV canoe. 😁👍

I think the CV canoes are the only ones that got the yachtsman blade etch. Will a Case Cutlery Expert* please confim if that is true?
(*As opposed to a Case Farm Implements Expert ... 😇)

Hey! Awesome GAW, Pat! I gave the only Canoe I had to my Air Force buddy years ago.
So please count me in!
Here's a pic of my designated turkey dismemberer (is that a word? I checked, and yes it is!). It's been used only on that occasion for at least the last 20 years.

I am thankful for a happy healthy "good one" wife and dog who is still kickin' at 17(ish).
Thankful for another day above the dirt and a few good/real friends who will enter me into knife contests.
Thankful for a large extended family who cares about each other (for the most part ;) ).
Thankful for a generous appreciation for the beauty of little things in life like this turkey I took a pic of a few years ago. We called her Flo and she hung around for a few weeks and I thought it appropriate choice for the holiday.

I appreciate it friends, thanks for kicking this GAW off so strong! I’m glad there’s some interest in this knife, it really is a great example and I think someone will love it.

Pat, I’m in. I am truly thankful for the clean bill of health I received from the doc at the ER this morning. Also to my beautiful bride who immediately stepped up to take me in and for her moral support. I’m thankful that, “For better or worse” still means something. That and the two knives I grabbed to take with me got to come back home afterwards!
