Thanksgiving giveaway!

I’ve been a member here for a couple years and it’s about time for me to give something back. I’m thankful to be a part of this community so let’s call it a Thanksgiving giveaway. I don’t have a very deep collection yet, I’m working on it, but I’d like to pass along something nice. This Case Canoe was described as a 1974 model on the listing but it’s hard to tell since the tang stamp is partially hidden. I bought it because that’s my birth year and I wanted something special to carry. Hopefully one of you will enjoy it as much as I have.

Entries are limited to participating members of the porch, let’s say 25 posts. To enter, simply post a picture of anything related to your Thanksgiving festivities. Knives are optional, but if included they must be traditional. International entries are also welcome, just tell us something you’re thankful for and you’re in. You may enter for someone else if you’d like, just state who you’d like to enter for.

I’ll keep this open until Sunday night, then I’ll do a drawing from the list of entered names and announce the winner. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

Also to my beautiful bride who immediately stepped up to take me in and for her moral support. I’m thankful that, “For better or worse” still means something. That and the two knives I grabbed to take with me got to come back home afterwards!

Thank you! I’ve really enjoyed spending time here and it feels good to do something like this for the awesome folks here. It’s a nice way to see inside a special part of your lives at the holidays. 😊 Thanks for sharing everyone, tomorrow nights the drawing so let’s get some more in!

Well, I haven't been very festive this week. Aside from a little deer hunting last weekend and hanging out with some family on Thursday, I've been in front of my computer all week. I figured it was a good time to take a little time off work and make some headway through an architecture class, one in a series of CAD classes I've been taking. I'm super thankful for the opportunity I have to go school right now, and I'm super thankful for all of you here on the porch. This is one place I can go for a little while to escape some of the craziness of the day and experience some simple joy. Thanks, porch friends!

Pretty nice GAW. I’d like in please. I’ve not been super active because I been working on my website, but we did make time to go to the parade today after having another plate of leftovers.



I do have a case 75 and a buck 192 on my person in this pic.
 
I have updated the entry list and put it in the original post.

We hosted Thanksgiving this year and had some special guests, a young couple and their baby twins. They were precious! They just moved here from CA for work and didn’t have anywhere to go for the holiday. I’m honored they allowed us to host them. I finished off my leftovers last night and then headed down to the Christmas tree lighting on the square.
