"THAT" Knife clip

How about a clip that sots in a divot in the scale so when it is not in use it sots flush with the scale surface with nothing sticking out. Then it also has a tab at the top of the tip so you push the tab and the clip opens up. This is becaise the clip has a little bar with a spring that biases it to shut but pushing the tab causes it to open. Why has no one made this yet?

This exists in a couple of forms (e.g. Microtech Sigil) and IMO it sucks pretty hard, at least on the Sigil.

That sounds like a neat idea. It could be the cousin to the Hawk clip. If anyone could pull it off, G&G could.

I have had really good luck with the clips from Benchmade. The deep carry clip is a great addition to my 531. Far superior to the split arrow clip the knife originally came with.

Another one I like is from Boker. It's on the AK74 folder. Nice and long, deep carry and a little bit of style. The SOGzilla clip is kinda similar.

Works great for someone in a line of work where constant movement across and around different objects and terrains is commonplace. In other words, if you're in construction--I use this term broadly-- the Hawk-designed clip is amazing. No worries of getting snagged and unknowingly pulled out of your pocket. I've had it happen on several different occasions.

Why just not make a move to a sculpted pocket clip, they are thick enough that they will not bend or really loose tension, look good and if made correctly while being very stiff and secure they still go in and out of the pocket with ease. IMHO the ZT0606 is a good example of where I hope the industry is going. A close second however would be the Strider clip that is by far and away my favorite design.

Only issue I have is tearing up my jeans, but other than that never had an issue with my ZT, Kershaw, OKC pocket clips.

Looks like a terrible design that would not hold the knife very well in pocket, while at the same time catching everything you walk by.

Don't knock it unless you've tried it. They work great and catch nothing more than a standard clip, and on that note if you're catching pocket clips you're doing it wrong to begin with.
