That knife others seem to find ugly, unworthy, or ridiculous, but that you are personally drawn to...

Is there anybody else who doesn't like square bolsters ?
I like square bolsters. One of my favorite knives is the Case 62032 Small Texas Jack, like the one in your photo. I used to carry it vertically in my left rear pocket beside my wallet, pretty much every day.

Problem with the square bolster was the hole it would wear in my pants. That was certainly a side effect of how and where I carried it, and that I carried the same knife all of the time in the same spot. But I do find rounded bolsters more pocket friendly sometimes.

For me it’s the Sod Buster. While not considered ugly, it isn’t a knife that many see to be that collectible or worth spending much money on. It seems to be viewed as a simple work knife and that’s it by most traditional collectors. It’s my favorite pattern though.

There’s not many knives better looking than this in my opinion!

I have given this some thought and I don't have any of the patterns I can think of that people tend to find ugly.
There's a lot I find ugly, but most of what i have/ like are all just common everyday patterns.

These probably just barely count, but I know GT doesn't like square bolsters.

Coincidentally I don't like the rounded bolsters that much, I can't say I really hate them but in direct comparison I like these much more when it comes to serpentine Jack pen and stockman frames.

Those are beautiful. I know some folks find amber bone plain and boring. As a matter of fact sometimes I think the same thing but then on the other hand I’m drawn to it.

I keep looking at those 032 ambers especially after you keep posting them. I have a $75 in gift cards from the big fish store. I don’t need anything there so thought maybe a new Case amber bone in some flavor.

These could be considered ugly by some because of light pitting.E646A7D2-8BF4-4945-B735-F2CDF674815C.jpeg

On this forum, those are considered works of art that were years in the making, signed by the artist (you, assuming they are the result of years of carry and use)!

About 13 years off and on with the 18 and 7 years off and on on the 92. The 92 has probably been my most carried knife since getting it. I stray away but seem to go back to it.

Give me square over round every day of the week. Beautiful knives.

Beautiful blade.
The handle reminds me of a tamale for some reason, but the blade is beautiful.

I've read this thread going, "hey, I like sodbusters, and square-end bolsters, and glow in the dark, and.."

Now I can't shake the uneasy feeling I might want a glitter, glow-in-the-dark, square-end cattle knife but it might also be because this thread pointed out I have bad taste.

edit: I always thought the heel of the french kate was a caplifter - looking at larger photos I'm thinking that isn't the case?

I always thought it was a cap lifter also.
