How many of you guys have a blade or two that you always wanted for the camp/woods that you just couldn't find or afford when you did? I have always wanted a Queen Cutlery Moose Skinner, but have had trouble locating one. I finally found one on e-bay and pulled the trigger! Got it today and its awesome.. 10.5 " of well-loved Queen steel and a big beefy grip. The pics don't really give perspective on the grip size (1.25" thickness). I can't wait to get her on my belt! Anybody else have a grail knife?

That's a hosscat man! Glad you got something you've wanted for so long!!

I think I've got more great steel than any one person could ever 'fully' use. A woodlore clone was always on my grail, but now I've got one (just needs to be rehandled).

Congratulations on scoring that beauty bro!!!!

So now that you found it, whats next??

Thanks guys.. Its pretty cool to find something that you wanted for a long time...

Spooky- Is your grail the Woodlore or a clone? I hope you find it either way!

Tony - Good question. I have a lot of knives, I think that this one is special because I wanted it for a long time and couldn't find it, but there are plenty of blades that I still want! Its a disease isn't it..

Tknife - All my knives are users, regardless of value.. The only problem is that I have a lot of knives so not everything makes it into the rotation...

Before I start:

Holy shit what a knife! That handle looks like it weighs 14 lbs. Then again, I guess it has to be a pretty good size to skin a moose.

That said...

I have a few "grail" knives:
1.) Busse Battle Mistress
2.) TOPS Armageddon
3.) CRK Sebenza (I blame you, Bladeforums...)
4.) Fiddleback Forge Nessie

Scrapyard Dogfather.

Finally worked out a deal for one. Should be outside busting up wood with it by this time next week :D

That is a monster handle and a great looking blade.
Great score.

My current dream woods knife changes from time to time.
Right now I am looking forward to a new Woodsman from Fiddleback Forge

It's really the design, so I'm fine with a clone (saving money and time). But the more I think about it, the more the Brian Andrews bushy is everything I wanted.

One of Matt's (ML knives) Keppie or WBN's with either ash or brown micarta slabs. That is the middle piece of my custom woods grail trio. Still enjoying the search for the other 2 pieces :)

Hmmm for me its the Fallkniven Thor and Idun, and Busse Battle Mistress and one of those smaller bushcraft sized Busses.
Also a lot of nice BRKTs on the list.
And add that Monster Nessie pictured above as well!
Finally a totally impractical non-bush knife, the Cold Steel Natchez Bowie.

Knives at $100-$150 U.S are usually the extreme of my price range.
Most of the new knives i buy are in the $50-$100 range.
I've bought a lot of knives in the last 6 months (more than the last ten years!) so I'm going on a buying sabbatical for a year.
Maybe at the end of that i'll have surplus money for a 'biggie", lol.

Mine for a while has been a Busse Game Warden, I just can't seem to find the motivation to drop $ on one just yet.

I would love to pull the trigger on a Lee Reeves double bit with osage handle but can't talk myself into it.
