So I had been holding my horses to get this table till my shop was built. Now that it's almost done I went down and worked out a deal for it. She had it priced at $350 but said she would take $250. I said how about $200 cash out the door and she said ok. It was more then a pain in the ass to load it as it weighs about a billion pounds. I'm not sure how to treat the top as I like the wet look but don't want it to be sticky with say WD40. The frame is crazy thick welded steel with screw feet on the legs.

After we got it unloaded I got a bucket of soapy water and washed the top down. It was covered in dirt and bird poop. But man it's looking good now. I just need to figure out what color to paint the frame.

After a good wash it really poped.

So to say I'm tickled pink is an understatement:)

Holy crap...that's a lot of micarta!

Looks very solid and definitely a deal at $200.
What is the top made of ?
brown canvas micarta. I think it's actually called "natural" micarta but it's got a reddish color when it's wet and a light brown when dry.

It's 1" thick and 4x8ft so yeah a LOT of micarta.
When I first found it I was planning on cutting up the top but common it's a micarta topped bench. I think cutting it up would be sacrilegious and don't want to invoke the anger of the shop god.

Wow what a steal great looking table I'm sure it will last you many years. Are the feet adjustable kinda looks like it in the picture if so super score

I thought that's what I was seeing but I've never seen a sheet like that. Makes it even cooler !

Yeah the feet are threaded onto the legs and the feet have holes for turning bars.

Awesome bench. I think you should cut up the top and convert the bottom into an Imperial Walker

I'd be inclined to leave it as is, but I have solid maple benches in my shop, and was actually considering buying micarta for the top of my next one.
Steel is great for a welding/fab table, but not my favorite for other work.
Either way that's a great deal, and something I'd have bought in a heartbeat

Excellent score...2 Bills is a steal for sure!!! I just use rattle can primer on all my equipment easy touch up when needed.

WOW, now THATS a table!

Another Killer score... I think the legs would look great in Green with the brown micarta.
