The “woke” world and some new EDCs for sale

Very nice and hellava slicey looking. I like how you are playing with colors and textures on the scales. You ever do kydex?
Thank you! I do a lot of kydex work on my larger knives. I used to do them on these but the Jou Fuu leather is just a great match with this knife.

Sample of 1 here. But despite agreeing that the leather looks incredible, its a deal breaker for me. I carry my edc fixies in the pocket, and highly value the low profile nature of kydex for that.

You can always get a kydex sheath made for your knife. It just depends how much you like the knife. 🤷‍♂️

When commissioning a custom from someone who only uses leather, I'll often ask if I can skip the sheath and knock off whatever they think the saved time is worth.

I agree about the woke world. Instagram and facebook are a no return to me in terms of knifemaking and marketing. Im convinced that knifemaking community could have much more benefits (both for makers and customers) by using forums like this.

I remember last year i tried to make a payed post on facebook to share some kitchen knives and it was removed as "trading weapons" lol.

Nice color tones on that knife by the way.

It is kind of ironic - the knife bulletin board forums saw a huge decline in participating makers driven by how much bigger the visibility is on Instagram and Facebook and how much easier it is to sell quickly there. But since all of those places are controlled by pencil-necked, reflexively left-wing dweebs assisted by their risk-averse corporatist lawyers, and none of those places were designed for knives (or guns), then you have to do all sorts of workarounds to sell knives, even knives that are clearly not weapons by design, and run the risk of being arbitrarily banned under vague policies and inconsistent enforcement.

I wonder if that'll drive a rush back to the forums.

I for one have not a single social media account and miss out on any of the drops announced on those. The more makers that migrate over here the better imo! There have been times I’ve considered joining Facebook just for the knife announcements, but generally I think I’m a lot happier just keeping all that poison out of my life.

I'll cerakote their pocket protectors and "plugs" all day long!!!

Maybe wargrip would be better.... Give a little traction for the impaction. Ha!!
