Thanks again everyone. I have one more of these Cobbler blades but I don't have a single cord wrapped knive in my small pile if sharp pointy things.
I'l be putting some simple cuts at each end of the handle to keep the cord from slipping off (since I won't be epoxying it down). I'm expecting some new gray paracord from CountyComm. I'll post some pics next week.
Rupestris I want to thank you for turning me onto these neat and very capable Cobbler blades. I had never seen them and never knew about their existance until this thread. I ordered from Ragweed forge before and have browsed their site many times but didn't see that gem. I bought three the other day. At $7.50 each they have to be one of the best bang for the buck purchases I've made in years.
Anyway, I think these little knives are very capable as they come from Ragweed forge even without handles. Not sure what the steel is other than its carbon steel but they take and keep a good edge, sharpen up easy and basically have impressed me.
You did a righteous job on your knife and I really like it a lot. I will likely do something similar with one of my three and make me a sheath for it for horizontal carry since its so small. On the first one I kind of leaned extreme and went a different route. I'll show you that below if you like in that link to my forum. I am not trying to side track your thread. Thats why I waited until it slowed down and moved back far enough to tell me it was a good time. I just wanted to say great job and thanks for posting your knife.
