Here is a shot of the DNA lanyard I learned last night.
The second one here is for Andys Leather. Which is shipping this morning. Had to pick up a new battery last nite. Tracking incoming.

That looks similar to the double diamond I just made for my Hinderer . I wanted to practice before I put one on my Emerson 😉
 
I dig it.
Mine is a helix weave. Very easy. Easier than a cobra lanyard.
I like yours as well. I made the same one. I also like the bead where we have it so you can adjust that part of the lanyard and its not smacking into things like those lanyards with a chunk of metal on the end.
The bead I have came from the local hardware stop. SS fitting. They have brass but way to pricey.
Why oh why did I sell my little lathe a few years ago.
I rock on those old manual babes from the 20s. Hendey lathes.

Yeah test things on the hinderer. :)
 
I actually shortened the lanyard on my 13 that you see above, just a touch.. Just a half inch off the weave and a half inch off of the lanyard. I will snap a pic when I have time.
 
Yeah I made sure it wouldn't catch the blade so I ran her a little shorter then normal .
 
Exactly. The damn blade kept catching. Perfect a bit shorter.
Where is that bead from. I dig it. Just not into spending big you know?

If I were to get an Rick. It would be the same one your have. Bowie and blue. :) Only thing that would make me happier is a green 13. I just hate making scales for my own knives. Its a curse. Ive done it to almost every one and then sell me. Uhhh. Not this time baby. Unless I find some lucky green peel ply.
 
Sorry for the late reply I got slammed at work lol .Thanks for the compliment it's a fun knife and I like the blue also . I have another that's a BHQ exclusive same blue but black blade and it really pops with the bright blue scale 👍🏻 It's funny you mention green because I like that to lol we have similar taste and have another XM-18 3.5 with a dark green scale and picked up a Extra in a transparent jade green that's kind of cool .
The bead wasn't to bad it's a Hinderer bead/pull tab I think it's called I'll throw a link here for you and I even bought the blue paracord there to and it was cheap but only got like 5 or 10 feet.
The double diamond was tricky for me but I'm a rookie . It was easy but man just with that little knot I had a hornets nest of paracord wrapped around my fingers watching the YouTube how to vid lol .
