This has been a great year!!

I never had even heard the word batoning before :eek:

I had never heard of "fatwood"

Didn't realize Altoid tins were in such demand

I've really enjoyed all the mountain man stories/survival tips

Great jerky recipes I have to try

Brian has become a pretty good internet friend
We shoot the sheet via email and IM now :thumbup:

It really meant a lot to me when I was all bent outta shape at the Johnny Lightning/Man Breast personal attacks and Brian didn't ban me for my opinions
Then he even stood up for me and posted a link to my Rambo knife story from the Trad Forum
The fact that he even read it and remembered me meant even more.....
(What ever became of Mr. Lightning??)

My big W &S moment was The Gap Fire that came REALLY close to my house
That really bumped up my love for survivalism
I was really into survivalism when First Blood came out
I sorta put it on the back burner until finding this forum

I hope to meet some of you some day
Maybe a So Cal or So Colorado meet??
I got 13 acres on The Conejos River we can use!!!
I'll organize the tomahawk throwin' contest

I hope to get out to the forest more this year
Living by the ocean is cool
But, I miss the pine trees and creeks of the Sierra Nevada's
I usually only go camping with friends
I think this year I am gonna take a few solo camping trips
I just want to walk the earth
You know
