I have a Priority mail small box that arrived a short while ago from Ed in Athens, LA. WOO HOO, it looks like my "Christmas Eve Gift" has arrived safe and sound.

Under the Christmas tree it goes...Now for the long wait til Christmas Eve. Ed this is so special, I feel like a little boy waiting for Santa to arrive. We have by tradition opened our Christmas gifts on Christmas Day morning. Everyone knows that Santa makes his stops on Christmas Eve / Night. But this one will be opened on the night before Christmas.

Thank you for your kindness. You have brought the wonderful spirit of Christmas to all on BF with your Families traditions.

I wish you & yours a very Merry Christmas, Tom

Tom, you don't have as long to wait as Sarah did, so you might not have to put that package through as much "experimentation" as she did. I hope you enjoy the gift. We'll be watching for it.

Very well done Ed, thank you for what you do around here Sir, and to Tom - congratulations - I bet you that makes you Christmas all the better!!!
Merry Christmas everyone.

Ed, Thank you so much. You don't know how thoughtful your knife is to me. The first knife I bought myself as a youg lad was a toothpick. This is the first one that I have had since that one almost 50 years ago. I think I still have it. Second, I love the Blood Red scales. This is my second GEC with them. Such a perfect Christmas gift for you to share.

I'll post pictures soon.

Merry Christmas to all, Tom

I don't believe in fate, but it's hard to deny the serendipity that has happened here; like it was meant to be. Congrats Tom, and thanks for Ed for his continued generosity.

I'm so glad you like it. I bought it because I wanted to give the toothpick pattern a try. I found it to be a very sweet handling knife and the blood red bone is one of my favorite cover materials from GEC even though I don't have many with that cover, only one other comes to mind, but still I really like that knife and that cover material. I did a mini review of this knife and the other two (a houndstooth and a Pemberton) that I bought at the same time. Anyway, enough babbling - here's one of the pictures of the "gift" that I took back at that time.
