Autumn skies are fantastic. In a couple of weeks I will head South again and collect some potatoes and parsnips from the garden while visiting. Even now the highways and byways are ribbons of fire with the glorious red maples ...
My dad paid 50 cents for this maple tree. It was about a 2 feet tall when I helped him plant it many years ago. Turns fire red every fall.
Today he said “little did I know that at 50 cents I thought I got a good deal but that tree really cost me $10,000.50 after all the sewer repair bills over the years“
