Not the best spot for pumpkins (got all male flowers). But the sunflowers did ok.

Just broke camp and drove to cabin 2 hours N ... last night in the tent was -4C ("25F") so the colour here in Ontario comes with ice in the dog dish 😁

Red in background is stag horn sumac.

My favourite season ... no bugs, no humidity, sunshine is gentle and welcome on your face and to warm you ... crisp mornings, frosts dropping the leaves noisily in the woods - and the campfire is as wonderful as camp coffee at sunrise (well, almost!}

At the cabin - more for fishers than for beachgoers ...

Autumn skies are fantastic. In a couple of weeks I will head South again and collect some potatoes and parsnips from the garden while visiting. Even now the highways and byways are ribbons of fire with the glorious red maples ...
