Love the tomatoes! Even better that you guys use cast iron!

Gardening/landscaping really isn't my thing but most of my home repair $'s have been spent on those things recently.

A lot of time/$ spent on fixing my sprinkler system which needed tending - replacing broken sprinkler heads, capping /adjusting others and fixing a leak.. Also spent a lot of $ on pruning a couple of trees and removing another.

Then there was the new fence along one side of my house and a some new rose bushes that I planted in front of the house after getting my gardener to pull out the overgrown bushes that were there before. All told, I'm in over $3k for all that work. Only have some pics of the latter 2

Now I've got to replace my garbage disposal. At least it's something I can do myself. Ain't homeownership great? LOL! ;)

Garden is feeding us well so far. Looking forward to peppers, okra, tomato's and green beans. Hoping for some rain this week.

The new generation of swallow tailed kites has taken to the air! Here’s mom or dad with 2 of the new generation.

This spring we set up camp on April 29th - oh yes the nip was in the air still.

Then in early May, when my friends asked me if Daisy and I would leave camp in mid-June to look after their home (and cat!) while they travelled on vacation... I said, "sure ... and put in as much garden as you want - I'll look after it". They then bought an rv and headed West! Hey gardeners, I got my wish :) . Sweet peas, beans, spinach, lettuce harvests are so abundant that I am sharing with my daughter and her co-workers now. Potatoes, carrots, beets, parsnips, zucchini, cukes, dahlias, glads, roses, bee balm and new plantings of small trees and other perennials ... so I am back full in my gardening mode, just in new location.

So lucky that there is a fantastic drilled well to water as the weather brings little needed rain so far.. Up until Daisy and I began our big adventure on the road last summer, my gardening had evolved more to containers kept close at hand surrounding the porch at my last place where my daughter now lives. So I brought a few containers along with me from my old digs where I had also started gardens for my daughter.

Oh yes, one solar DIY hummer birdbath/chipmunk waterer for fun.

There are squirrels, raccoons, Japanese beetles on rosebuds and one other nibbler in the garden, but a welcome sight nonetheless!

Hey LEGION 12, is that garlic seasoning? I can almost taste delicious green beans, tender and fresh from the garden ... just from this pic!
