The Alaska Project

They made it quite clear from the start that this was not going to be the coddled existence that was seen on The Alaska Experiment. Here's one sentence from the initial email I received which gives an idea of what to expect.

"Can you make your own shelter nightly, hunt for food daily and trek across miles of wilderness for 6 to 8 weeks?"

Even if I don't make the final cut, this is one show that I look forward to watching.

That sounds like a Workout.

You know there are many here rooting for you to make the cut, here at the Blade Forums.

Best of Luck.

Great news ! I hope you make the final cut.
I applied and did not get a reply....probably too soft:D

Very cool. Wish you luck. let us know how you make out.

Very, very cool.

That sounds great! Why don't I ever hear of this stuff! Missed out on trying out for the alaska experiment too. I tried to look for it online. Do you now if they are done accepting applications? Well good luck and have fun.

Wow, that's awsome!!! How the heck do you sign up?

I watched the Alaska Experiment religiously when it was out a few months ago. Of course I wished that they would have done more stuff or actually hunted a bit more, but it was outdoors stuff on TV so I didn't complain.

Well, congradulations on making it to the finals, if you do make it post a pic of yourself before you go so I'll know who to root for when I'm watching the show (and wishing I was there) :D.

Congrats, bro. I hope you make it in.

Please don't bring two whining a$$ daughters though, that was pretty darn annoying.

Oh right on!
It makes my day hearing about forumites realizing something they are passionate about!

ANOTHER Alaskan show? Huh. wonder why there's so darn many of 'em lately?

Some are pretty funny. I personally like "Tougher in Alaska"

The first three shows I saw involved Slopers, Haul Road Truckers, and Electricians in the bush. (Current employment of myself and my two closest friend since high school) A bit.....dramatic, but Great stuff for impressing the wives.:D

Best of luck getting on the show. Ya' seem like a helluva knowledgeable dude with alot to teach.

Good luck man.
It would be good to see a BF member up there. In fact if the show is a little rougher, I might watch this time.

So now to the important question:
How many and which knives are you taking?

Super news Quoddy, I loved that show this year! Your going to be a movie star! Just don't punk out on us, make us proud!!:) I live in the KC area, and if ever see one of those whiny KCK girls, I am not sure what I am going to do? The dad did real well, considering his company. Catch lots of salmon, any way you can and watch as many reruns to find out where the others made their mistakes.
