Thanks for pointing that out Armand….sometimes my mind is not paying attention to what my fingers are typing. :)

Michael….I was hoping you were going to post your SPS 110/426 here when I saw it. Thanks!!
I really like that elk finger groove 110 too!!:thumbup:

JB….thank you for helping to make this a great thread.
You have an outstanding collection of stag and ivory Buck knives!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
I knew that you were going to eventually run out of stag and ivory Buck knives to post…but it was still a sad day when I saw it happening.

Wow PLB, Love the Ivory Indian skinner very nice.

mwputnam, the fg elk 110 is a cool looking 110. However, the stag on your 426 DP is fantastic!

Thanks for the kind words Mark, it was my pleasure to share those old photo's on your thread. You have one heck of a stag collection yourself, thanks for starting this stag/Ivory thread the knives in this thread are classic Buck knives for sure.

Here is one more little stag, it's a 505 that had never been shot before.

Since some of you posters are running out of stag and ivory knives to show I guess I will chime in. This one I posted on Armands Sunday picture show this last Sunday and thought I would share it in this thread as well this week.

This is one of my favorites in my collection. It is a Buck 925 Ivory Indian Chief Skinner. Made by Leroy Reimer. Buck made these in 3 sizes which this is the largest version measuring 10-1/4" overall. Each of the 3 has a different Indian design scrimshawed in the Mammoth Ivory handle which is beautifully done by Dale Fisk. It has a tapered tang with black fiber spacers, mirror polished blade. Outer Mammoth bark ivory on the backside, thong hole with leather lanyard with an ivory arrow, and nickel silver guard. It is in a wooden glass top Buck box which I had signed by Leroy Reimer on the back when I was at the BCCI 25th. Blade is stamped "BUCK CUSTOM USA" and the serial number "023" just below it.

I would love to get the other 2 in this series if anyone out there knows where I might be able to find them.

James, I really love your knife... What are the model numbers for the 3 Ivory Indian Chief Skinner's... I know they are all 900 something...
Do you know how big the blades are... I think the one my sons wife has is like 4" long...

Thanks for sharing it here too... ITE ...

Here's the other Indian Skinner... Not my knife or pictures... I wish... But now we have all 3 of them on this thread...
These are all Sweet...

900 ... Don't know...

:)

The 3 Indian Skinners are the 925 which is 10-1.4" overall. The 923 which is just over 9" overall and the 921 which is 7-1/2" overall. Each has a different Indian scrimshaw scene by Dale Fisk. This is a borrowed image of all 3 from the internet.

I'm back home for a while. :)

JB…thanks for posting some more beauties!!:thumbup:

Heath…you do excellent work!! :thumbup::thumbup:
I really like the way your re-handle projects turn out.
I need to get in touch with you soon about a little project I want to get done.

James…I think I like the pile side of your knife as well as the front.
That is a gorgeous Buck!!:thumbup:

Armand…thanks for posting more Buck knives here.
Thank prettylilbug for me too. :)

This one was waiting for me when I got home.
It was pretty well beat up, so I took it out to my work shop this morning and took out most of the dings and dents.
I also put an fine edge on it and stropped it.
It is going into my EDC rotation. :)

Stumps you know better than that, No before pictures to show the appreciation of the effort.

Yeah, I know. I didn't realize just how many dings and dents it had until I started working on it.

I'll try to do better next time. :)

Here is a Buck 923 and Buck 110 Mammoth ivory set with a fantastic Buffalo scrimshaw scene by Dale Fisk. The 923 measures 8-7/8" with a 4-3/8" mirror polished blade stamped "BUCK CUSTOM USA" tapered tang, thong hole, and brass guard. The 110 also has a mirror polished blade stamped with script "BUCK CUSTOM USA" as well with brass bolsters. Both have interior mammoth ivory on the scrimshawed side and exterior bark mammoth ivory on the backside.

Here is a couple Buck Duke 500's both with Mammoth ivory. One with interior ivory with mosaic pins and the other with exterior crackle ivory. I also included in the background some of the items I picked up while at the BCCI 25th anniversary event this last summer. Wow what a great time.
