The All Stag and Ivory Buck Thread (Let's See Your Stag & Ivory Buck Knives)

Wow Scott, those vintage dot 110s are very nice! Stump's you have an amazing collection of stag Buck's. Armand, has a bunch more fantastic knives in his bag of trick's that he needs to pull out;). Come on folks take a little time and post some photo's in this thread for all to enjoy. Stag/ivory are wonderful handle materials because no two are exactly alike, so don't hold back because the knife you have has already been posted, it has not as no two are alike!

Here are a few 501's

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

Scott…those are both very nice!! They would fit well in MY collection. :D
I have to say that after seeing more pinned stag in this thread like your two that I am really starting to like them much, much more….maybe to the point of preferring them. That first one really has some nice fat stag. Thanks for posting those!!

JB…thanks again for posting to this thread!! You have an awesome collection of stag and ivory Buck knives!! I especially like that little barehead stag on the bottom of your first photo. That is excellent stag!!

Evil Eye Earl…you, JB, Armand and hkingdom all have absolute top rate collections of stag and ivory Buck knives!! Your Klinkhammer collection is by far the best I have ever seen. Probably even better than Harold's own collection. :)
The two BG-42's and the AG 110's are perfect!! The mastodon, the barehead….WOW!!!

Armand…that is an excellent large example of mastodon ivory on your Buck!! It looks like it would fit in my hand perfectly!! :)

I'm not going to post today. Oooops, I meant to say I'm not going to post another 110 today.
It's Thanksgiving, so I'm going to post an extra special Buck knife…a 531. Not only does this 531 have very nice mastodon ivory scales, but it is a Sawby!!

Time to go finish baking two pumpkin pies, an apple pie and two loaves of artisan bread. I am looking forward to the food coma about 2pm today. :p

Stumps, Armand, & Ron,

Wow, thanks for the photo's of your rare Ivory buck's, not many of those were made.....Sweet!

Same 475 set up with different light effects,

I had a great Thanksgiving yesterday spent with family. I ate too much, but that just means I have to ride my bicycle even farther than normal later this morning to wear off the extra calories. :)

Armand…that is a nice little stag Buck. Thanks for posting it!!

JB…I really like the looks of the 055 stag paired up with the 111 stag…nice Buck knives! I have some 111's, but none in stag….yet. :)
Nice "in the shadows" and "out of the shadows" photos too.
Thanks once again for posting so many beautiful stag and ivory Buck knives!!

I wavered from my beloved 110's yesterday by posting that Buck/Sawby ivory 531, but heading right back to a 110 today with this one in S30V and NS bolsters. It has very nice stag scales.

Thanks guys. I only have a single old plain Jane 110 at the moment, and a few Buck F.B.'s. But I just wanted to thank everyone for the eye candy. I really enjoyed going through this thread.

Here is a nice little stag 103 with gold etched blade.

Here is the matching Sports Afield 110 to jb4570's 103. These are rare knives and not often seen loose.

These knives were part of a larger 7 knife set celebrating the 100th anniversary of Sports Afield.
In addition to the Buck 103 and 110, there were 2 Schrades, 1 Gerber, 1 Coleman/Western, and a
Case. There were only 100 sets and they originally sold for $1,750 in 1987.

Here is a link to a good article and pictures showing the complete set in the Schrade Forum:

Time for another Buck stag 110 from me, but first a few comments about other knives posted yesterday.

Armand…I don't know why, but I had an image in my head yesterday of you digging through boxes and bags of Buck knives looking for more stag and ivory ones to post here. Hope you're careful digging through all your knives!!
I would love to have one like you posted yesterday!! Very nice stag on that one.

JB…aren't you ever going to run out of stag and ivory Buck knives to post here?? You have an awesome collection!! Hope you can keep posting for a long time to come!! Thanks!! :)

Craig…do I understand you right?? You had that first one in your two pictures made out of an old .45 grip?? That is a cool story to go along with a very nice ivory 303!!
Like your scrimshaw by David's wife too!!

Roger…thanks for the pictures and the history lesson!! That is a sharp looking 110!!

Here is a four dot stag Buck 110 with brass bolsters and two pins in some very nice stag;
