Maybe hollow them out for weight relief? But yeah I agree it would be mostly pointless .. but also fun.I think it would throw off the balance and not really add any benefit
( don't listen to me I'm always wrong!)

Listen to this man! I got a DEK1 and a DEK2 in the preorder because I wanted swedges, but I held off on the DEK3 because I only wanted the vanilla version. Fast forward to today…I have no DEK3 and probably never will.
But did I mention my 1&2?!!! They’re pretty awesome!!!
Do you ever see CPK offering titanium (maybe bronze) scales? I imagine it would be pretty intensive given all the contouring and milling etc, but it would also be pretty cool. Especially on something like the EDC or even the K20 ... CPK = Cyber Punk Knives???
2 weeksNathan, I added the Sword of Omens from Thundercats and Voltron's Blazing Sword to the whiteboard when I was there last year. When will these be going into production?
Oversights like this will make him go all Sephiroth on youI apologize. I forgot: the K18 is the buster sword.
Likewise.I can't wait to design a sheath for this khukuri
Nathan, seen a few HDFK posts recently, and it got me wondering. If/when you revisit it, would you make any tweaks, or leave it as is?
I could be wrong, but I thought Nathan mentioned retiring the HDFK pattern (as in; no plans to make them again), as the SSDFK supplanted the HDFK.Follow up question forNathan the Machinist
HDFK - Last sold in 2018
SDFK - Last sold in 2022
I've seen you say that the SDFK will be produced again in 2026. Can you mention briefly why you plan to re-visit the SDFK, produced 3 year ago, before re-introducing the HDFK which I think hasn't been sold since 2018, maybe 2019? What changes to the SDFK might you consider, if any? A version with your iconic blood groove comes to mind, a lanyard hold for the signature version? Apologies if the above dates are inaccurate.
I don't see myself revisiting the HDFK anytime soon. I like the SDFK and we're going to make it next year. The HDFK is a fantastic pattern and it is not retired, but I have no plans to produce it again anytime in the foreseeable future.
It's a great pattern, I'm sure we'll revisit it someday.
Exactly! Weight reduction can be achieved either way, so a SSDFK fuller variant could be a possibility.#notNathan, just a note on background, surfkiev - the HDFK fuller's purpose is weight reduction / balance. The same is achieved in the Signature SDFK with a swedge,
