Yes, get a Sebenza! ( It is worth it, trust me find out for yourself )

Use a Sharpmaker, you will LOVE it!

Customs are always better than production, while there might be flaws, the handmade knives have SOUL, get one and find out for yourself!

As ever your pal,

I recently got a sharpmaker and I DO love it! Still getting used to it though.

As for the Sebenzas, I just cannot justify the money for one. I have no doubt that they are totally excellent knives but for some reason they just don't excite me much.

My dream custom knife is a Mark Terrell Hardin. Now that baby excites me! One day...

I guess the best knife I currently own would have to be the Benchmade Ruckus with a black plain edge. I was finally able to locate one (for some reason this model-black p.e. is hard to find nowdays!)

Sorry!! I kinda knew I shouldn't have. Especially since I'm pretty new here. didn't mean to screw anything up. sorry dudes.

How about a suggestion for supplemental portion of the "End All Thread"....

Where we can get the "YES" Sebenzas for as cheap as Opinels... Muhaha.

All I know is people need to stop posting: "Convince me to buy a Sebenza" threads....if you need to be convinced, you've got no business getting one :p. AND if they want to be convinced anyways it would be nice to not have them creating new threads on subjects that have been covered very well MANY MANY MANY times over. It pays to not be lazy and use the search function.

Which 50-60-ish folder to buy? Spyderco Delica, Spyderco Endura or Benchmade Griptilian/mini Griptilian.

A Buck 110 is the only knife you NEED.

But when has NEED been an issue. Get what you WANT, which in most cases is EVERYTHING! (It's okay to feed the disease.)

Yes, Sebenzas are the ultimate in production knives, but you should also give William Henry knives a chance.

Get a Sharpmaker, and learn to use it. Also a good idea. But there is something to be said about free handed sharpening on a good ole Arkansas stone, or a set of crock sticks.

Zombies don't exist, so there's no need to get a specific knife just to prepare for a battle that will never be.

Super steels are over-rated. 440C is GOOD ENOUGH. But, they ARE cool, and if you want to be cool you should buy the good stuff.;)

Let's see what the collective wisdom of this place can teach us...

How 'bout this?

Yes, take the oppotunity to go to knife shows. Whether it's a big show or a smaller local one, it is very much worthwhile to meet and interact with makers, dealers and other collectors. Even if you don't, or can't, purchase anything, there's no substitute for seeing the knives and talking to folks first hand.

Good call! Seeing/talking to the makers can definitely influence your decision to buy or not to buy!

you forgot to ask "What are you going to use the knife for?"

Or how about all the "knife test" threads with obscene misuse and misinterpretation of experimental and statistical results posted by supposed experts who improperly generalize their results to support their own opinion/agenda?

Testing is good, we always need more information to help complete strangers gauge their purchases!

OK, all you frustrated precision pocket jewelry promoters - not all knives over $200 have to be bling. They can be useful, well built tools FIRST; be grateful it's not another bright shiny you have to agonize over.

Attn: Dark Ops owners will learn from the experience, and eventually move up to good stuff like M-Tech, or even CRKT.

I think a lot of these threads could be avoided if someone would step up and make an S30V Sebenza with an Axis Lock, Spyderhole and Strider like flame job. Set the bevels so you could sharpen it on a Sharpmaker too. Give it a tactical name and market it as the "Special Forces" #1 choice. You know, something you could really bet your life on.

I think it would be the perfect solution to what a majority of posters seem to want. There really wouldn't be a need for any more comparison threads.
